(Politico) — A federal judge gave a green light for Alabama to enforce some of the most controversial parts of its toughest-in-the-nation immigration law, ruling that certain measures do not violate federal law.
U.S. District Judge Sharon Blackburn ruled that Alabama can enforce the law’s requirements for schools to verify students’ immigration status, and for police to determine citizenship and status of those they stop, detain or arrest. Police are allowed to arrest anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant during a routine traffic stop, under the law.
But Blackburn granted the Obama administration’s request to block certain portions of the law until she makes a final ruling. Those sections include provisions making it a crime to transport or harbor an illegal immigrant, or for an illegal immigrant to look for or perform work.
Blackburn also blocked parts of the law that allow discrimination lawsuits against companies that hire illegal immigrants when they discharge or fail to hire a U.S. citizen, and forbidding employers from claiming as business tax deductions wages paid to illegal immigrants.
Alabama’s crackdown — considered even more restrictive than Arizona’s — had originally been set to take effect Sept. 1, but came under fire from the Justice Department and other groups that filed lawsuits against the measure. Blackburn issued a temporary hold on the law at the end of August to give herself more time to review the case....ZIP

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – Combined Joint Task Force-82 has released video of an air weapons team engaging and killing insurgents when responding to the insurgents’ complex attack on a small patrol base
in Paktia province May 27. The video shows 14 insurgents carrying automatic rifles, rocket propelled grenades and a mortar round fleeing the scene after they attacked the outpost with indirect fire, rocket propelled grenades and smalls arms fire. The pilot of an Apache AH64 helicopter is heard verbally checking to make sure the militants are far enough away from any qalats, or Afghan homes, so that shooting the militants will not endanger any civilians. The attack helicopter checks six times to ensure there will be no collateral damage before receiving permission to engage the insurgents. After the helicopter engages the insurgents from the air, U.S. troops continue fighting the insurgents on the ground. The entire fire fight lasted more than fivehours. Afghan National Army and ISAF service members conducted an assessment of the area, finding at least 15 militant forces killed, numerous small arms and a mortar system. No ANA or International Security Assistance Forces were injured during the attack. The incident resulted in no civilian casualties.
(Reuters) - Iran raised the prospect on Tuesday of sending military ships close to the United States' Atlantic coast, in what would be a major escalation of tensions between the long-standing adversaries.

When he announced he was returning the masterminds of 9/11 to New York City to stand trial as ordinary criminals -- not war criminals -- and thus allow them the benefits from our system of jurisprudence, the mainstream media loved it and the people said it didn't matter.(Oh really? Go ask an FDNY FF, NYPD Cop, NY EMS, NY Port Authority Cop or Transit Worker, or a 9/11 Families member who was at the World Trade Center 9/11/2001 and see if it matters.)
When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people finally woke up, but it was too late.
Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter. But when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America ? Personally, I like happy endings.
If you are an Obama Supporter, please recognize that you have elected a president who is a 'socialist'. There is simply no debate about these facts. But you need to seek the truth; you will be richer for it. Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you, we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.
Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don't rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there as well, but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed. They are currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who he is currently waging an open war against. There must be a reason. He does not call them down on any specifics, and he has failed to refute any facts presented – because it is all true. If they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn't. Please, find the truth, it will set you free.
Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia or Iran; no, our biggest enemy is the current contingent of politicians in Washington DC led by the Progressive Left Liberals who support the previously mentioned things.

Gen. William Shelton, head of the Air Force Space Command, told House members in a classified briefing earlier this month that he was pressured to change prepared congressional testimony in a way that would favor a large company funded by Philip Falcone, a major Democratic donor, congressional sources told Fox News.
Republicans have raised questions about whether the project pursued by the company, LightSquared, is being unduly expedited by the Obama administration, which has pushed for national wireless network upgrades.
A House Armed Services Committee staff member confirmed to Fox News that when asked whether he was pressured to change public testimony he had prepared for the hearing Thursday, Shelton said he was "being asked to say things he didn't agree with."
It's unclear who exactly pressured Shelton, but it's possible the individuals are in White House, Department of Defense or the Office of Management and Budget, which each approve military testimony prepared for Congress. The House staff member also told Fox News a copy of Shelton's prepared testimony was leaked to LightSquared.

The federal budget deficit reached $1.23 trillion in August. The third straight $1 trillion-plus deficit adds pressure on Congress and the White House to reach agreement on a long-term plan to trim government spending. The Treasury Department says the deficit grew by $134.2 billion last month. At that rate, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projects the deficit will total $1.28 trillion when the budget year ends in September. That would nearly match last year's $1.29 trillion imbalance and come in below the record $1.41 trillion hit in fiscal 2009. A congressional panel is seeking $1.2 trillion in savings later this year. The CBO director warned that spiraling interest payments could swamp the government's ability to pay for its operations and could spark a financial crisis if nothing is done.

LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha. Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said. No one was hurt, and nobody has been arrested. Most of the protesters returned to their union hall after cutting brake lines and spilling grain from car at the EGT terminal, Duscha said. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union believes it has the right to work at the facility, but the company has hired a contractor that’s staffing a workforce of other union laborers. Thursday’s violence was first reported by Kelso radio station KLOG. Police from several agencies in southwest Washington, the Washington State Patrol and Burlington Northern Santa Fe responded to the violence to secure the scene that followed a demonstration Wednesday. “We’re not surprised,” Duscha said. “A lot of the protesters were telling us this in only the start.” One sergeant was threatened with baseball bats and retreated, Duscha said. “One officer with hundreds of Longshoremen? He used the better part of discretion.” The train was the first grain shipment to arrive at Longview. It arrived Wednesday night after police arrested 19 demonstrators who tried to block the tracks. They were led by ILWU International President Robert McEllrath, who said they would return.
(AFP) — An Israeli general warned on Monday that the risk of all-out war has increased in the Middle East where the Arab Spring of revolts could turn into a “radical Islamic winter.”
“What was considered as the spring of the Arab people could turn into a radical Islamic winter, and this raises the likelihood of an all-out war in the region,” General Eyal Eisenberg said.
With the upcoming UN vote on Palestinian statehood there will come an opportunity for all supporters of the worldwide Islamic Caliphate to capitalize on the international fervor against Israel. Where the Obama regime will step into this discussion, and to what degree they will support Israel is hardly clear. In last week's post--"The Defender of the Faith" I passed on the news of a new Obama policy supporting UN Resolution 16/18; which in many member states makes uncomplimentary speech about Islam a punishable offense.
In a seemingly unrelated story, the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife swat team with Justice Dept. warrants / under Obama regime orders invaded a US company, Gibson Guitars and confiscated materials and computer records. An excellent commentary on this INJUSTICE DEPT. THUGGERY is written in The Business Insider--Guns and Guitars. This attack on US buisness is defined by the CEO of Gibson in the video above. But what really stands out here is the fact that the Obama regime is not only pushing a Union agenda, but also enforcing a UN mandate against the use of certain foreign woods and materials, even when the corporation under suspician has obtained all necessary permits to procure said materials. The reason that I connect these two issues becomes clear when you realize that the Obama regime is supporting UN mandates in both cases; and I feel that this pattern will only continue when it comes to UN gun control mandates, Agenda 21 land confiscation initiatives, and children's "rights" agenda items which deny the rights of parents to raise their own children as they deem fit. This has been roundly supported by Hillary Clinton (The Big Village) and Our Dear Leader in the past. I fear that this New World Soros driven agenda will soon be implemented in the Middle East against Israel. The NATO invasion of Lybia was only a test case for the UN policy of "The Right to Defend" Soros / Samantha Power plan. Israel will be the target when the next shoe drops. It seems that the national sovereignty of free western nations worldwide are being attacked by using the corrupt, Islamist / Communist controlled UN to issue mandates. Our "New World Leader" will implement these unconstitutional laws inside our own borders without any discussion in Congress or with the American people.
